Kwaku Sintim-Misa

Kwaku Sintim-Misa aka "KSM" (b. 1956, Kumasi) is a Ghanaian actor and comedian. He also has his own shows on radio and television.

Education

Sintim-Misa had his primary education at the UST Primary School. Though his secondary education started at the Presbyterian Boys' Secondary, Legon, he left after the first year and completed his secondary education and sixth form at Prempeh College at Kumasi in 1977. He then enrolled at the National Film and Television Institute in Accra.

He left for the United States, where he studied for a degree in Theatre Arts at the Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He did a Master's degree in film production at New York University.

Work

Sintim-Misa worked in the US till January 1996 when he returned to Ghana. He has been involved in various productions including appearing in the 1992 Law & Order episode "Consultation".[1] His works include the comedy The Saga of the Returnee.

On his return to Ghana, he has been on his own radio and television programmes. He has also been one of the popular stand up comedians in the country. Ex-president Jerry Rawlings is reported to be a fan of his satiric comedy routines, despite being a regular target of his humour. He was also invited to perform for various dignitaries and foreign guests during the celebration of Ghana's 50th independence anniversary.[2]

Family

Sintim-Misa was born to the late Rt. Rev. Godfried Kwadwo Sintim-Misa, a former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and Mrs Mary Oforiwaa Sintim-Misa. He is married with 4 children.[3]
